On Saturday I went to the office to do a little cleaning and thinking. Well, I ran smack dab into Jim and Charlie, who were just getting out of the office. I thought, shit, this could be good, or this could look bad.

Sure enough, today Brian found out about it. I'm pretty sure one of these two mentioned it to him. But when he came to my office today, he just said, "Uh, I noticed that you came in this weekend". I just stared at him, wasn't sure where he was going with it. Really? How did you notice that I was here exactly? Were you spying on me? You weren't here. I would've seen you. And if you had seen me or my car on Saturday, you would have stopped by my office then. Then he said something afterwards about Jim saying something to him. And he said, 'why didn't you tell me?' OK, then why didn't he just say Jim saw you on Saturday. Why did he have to make it sound like he was the one who saw me? I don't quite understand that. And I don't know why he's asking me about it anyway. Maybe he was concerned that I had something else going on that's taking my time away from that project.

WTH. I don't know why this bothers me. I could have said something maybe, but I didn't. Like, I came in to check up on the progress of the new office because I thought it was going to be ready by Monday? And today is Monday? Why was I not surprised to see no one was there working on it? And by the way, is it going to have a light switch? Electrical outlets? Or is it just going to be an enclosed space that has a door? I guess we'll just have to see.

Of course I am one of the lucky ones to suffer from seasonal allergies. So I never really look forward to spring. But the one thing I do look forward to is the abundance of fruits and vegetables, and they are telling the truth when they say in the summer produce tastes so much better. I never really believed that, but now I do. Tomatoes are sweet and plump and juicy, oranges are sooo juicy and sweet, asparagus are plentiful, apples are crunchy and juicy. I can never get enough of them. I toss tomatoes with spaghetti, I'll be buying basil soon to make my own pesto, and the possibilities are endless.

Defriending people on Facebook is really liberating. I don't know why people insist on having 1000+ friends on their FB, when I can't even possibly keep up with 40 of my true friends at the same time. Sometimes I wonder how people are constantly on either fb, twitter, etc. It's pretty tiring for me, and even if my mind can somehow process and weed out all the information coming from multiple sources at the same time, will I even be able to remember it?

and ho, surrealis just pointed out this extremely sexy picture of Chris Meloni from his 50th birthday party!

Well if I hadn't been sick I probably would have made it a little bit more productive, but yes, I stayed home again. Well I went to Costco yesterday, and got a little groggy/dizzy since I wasn't 100% yet, but I managed to load up on all the stuffs I really wanted to get, veggies and more veggies.

Today I watched Rafa play against Nole at the Sony Ericsson Open final in Miami. It started out great, but then he kept making mistakes, dropping double faults here and there while Nole was just perfect. So he lost, with a 3rd set tie-breaker. He looked exhausted. Both of them did, but I think Nole got a second wind towards the end, as he could taste his victory was near.

S'okay, Rafa, we'll get him next year, all right? I have to remember next year to try to make the trip because I think this would be a good change from the US Open. Not that I don't like the US Open and NYC and all that, but it gets a bit monotonous after a while.

Wow, it's been a while.

I probably have lost all of my friends hereCollapse )

And oops, this is added on april 3rd, by the way, but hey, Happy Birthday to Chris Meloni!!! The guy hit the big 50 this year!! Wow! Still looking hot like 13 years ago. With a little less hair, but more depth in his blue eyes. He and Mariska should just get it on already! Rawr!! :)

Wow I didn't expect this to happen so soon, but I guess I should have seen the signs...

Mike resigned today. I just sat there and asked him where he was going.
He's going down to South Carolina to semi-retire for the next few months.

Hmmm... I know they won't ask me to take on all of his workloads, because I simply can't. I guess we'll have to see.

I talked briefly to Brian and Robert after work. I hope they have a plan, because I'm still not in the mood to be Atlas and come up with one where I end up with most of the work...

Easy button, where the hell are you when I need you??
